“As a Texas school district with over 7,100 students and over 1,000 employees, we have been using DocuNav Solutions the Premier K-12 software vendor for several years. We started with finance requisitions and human resources records and are now transitioning all of our student records. By digitizing our paper records into Laserfiche we will eliminate valuable space currently be used for record storage and provide access and security across the district to our staff. Utilizing DocuNav Student Records packages we will soon be able to focus all our efforts on education and eliminate moving and filing students’ records. “The district has made tremendous savings in money and time for each employee involved in the account payable process once we setup Laserfiche. The district has reduced paper usage and have been able to remove the filing cabinets which gave the department space to house additional employees. The content management systems allows for all of the documents to be stored in shared storage server and with the security options. Many districts have always followed the words “this is how we always done it”. But my advice is to not be afraid of change with Laserfiche – it will save the district money, time and improve systems for the district while reducing steps in processes.”

“DocuNav recently built a custom application for us that allows parents to view their student’s documents while in Skyward.
The parent accesses their student via Skyward Family Access and then clicks a custom link that opens a popup window. This window displays a list of documents that are stored in our Laserfiche Student Records repository for that student. The DocuNav application will only display document types that we’ve enabled for parent viewing. The parent can then preview and/or download any selected document in the list.
